Guizhou's total import and export volume in 2013 exceeded $11.4 billion for the first time, according to Shen Xiaoqing, director of the Guizhou Provincial Commerce Department.
As statistics show, Guizhou's import and export of service trade in 2013 reached $3.13 billion. The import and export of goods reached $8.29 billion, ranking fourth nationwide.
Guiyang, ahead of other cities in Guizhou province, saw total import and exports reach $6.63 billion. Guizhou’s disbursement of foreign capital reached $1.53 billion, $630 million of which came from Guiyang.
The total retail sales of consumer goods in Guizhou reached 2,285 yuan ($ 378.19 ), ranking third in terms of growth in China. A total of 149 new foreign investments were also approved in Guizhou in 2013.
Guizhou now plans to achieve more than $1.1 billion in import and export of goods, and $3.6 billion in import and export of service trade.
In accordance with the goal, the disbursement of foreign capital will be increased to $2.5 billion. The economic and technological cooperation with foreign countries will grow to $650 million. Total social consumption will reach $263 billion.
