Severe weather brought hail and flooding to 28 prefectures of Southwest China's Guizhou province in March, leaving 512,700 victims and two dead.
The Guizhou Provincial Civil Affairs Department announced the statistics on March 31, after the disaster.
The disaster has caused total economic losses of 177.21 million yuan ($28.56 million), including 158.05 million yuan of economic loss in agriculture and 19.16 million yuan of economic loss in infrastructure and family property.
Approximately 23,037 hectares of farm crops were affected, and 170 households with 391 rooms have been toppled or badly damaged.
The Guizhou Civil Affairs Department has arranged four work teams to the front line for restoration and reconstruction.
The four work teams are sending relief materials to the affected regions, including 48.65 tons of rice, 772,300 yuan in cash, 555 quilts, over 1,200 cotton-padded pieces of clothes and 32 refugee tents.
