"I not only appreciated the colorful ethnic culture and beautiful landscapes, but also witnessed that Guizhou people have gradually got rid of poverty and worked hard for a better life," Sri Lankan photographer Sanka Gayashan Vidanagama from Ceylon Today said.

As a photographer from a developing country, Sanka Gayashan mainly focused on the moments reflecting the improved life quality of Guizhou people. He thought the development of the tourism industry, agriculture and the living environment of Guizhou rural areas offer many lessons and experiences for other countries to learn.
"Many parts of Sri Lanka are quite similar to the mountainous regions of Guizhou. I hope that through my photos showing the fast improvement in Guizhou poor areas I can provide experiences and lessons for my own country to learn."
