"Art is not a toy in an ivory tower, but should integrate into everyday life," said Chen Hongwei, chairman of the Guizhou Artist Association at the opening ceremony of a printing works exhibition themed "Engraving & Enlightenment" in Kempinski Hotel Guiyang on July 27.

It is the third arts exhibition for the Kempinski Hotel Guiyang this year. There are six award-winning artist works in the exhibition, including work from Zhu Shiwei, Wang Jianshan and Li Feng.

Printing is the most influential form of art among all artistic forms in Guizhuo province. This exhibition invites the public to participate in art and provides the public with opportunities to learn about art.

"Art is not only presented in museums and galleries, but it can be much closer to the public," said the general manager of Kempinski Hotel Guiyang at the exhibition site.
Kempinski Hotel Guiyang is a luxury hotel in Guiyang, capital city of Guizhou province. It has a long tradition of providing a platform for art to the public.
