On January 4, an agreement was signed between the Guiyang National High-Tech Zone and Beijing General Supply and Marketing Cooperative aimed at making joint efforts to build a big data industrial park in Guiyang, capital city of Guizhou province.
A total of 12 billion yuan ($1.93 billion) was invested in this project, including 10 billion yuan for the IDC data centre with 200,000 servers and 2 billion yuan for comprehensive construction such as a headquarter, research and development centre, and data applications.
According to the agreement, the Beijing General Supply and Marketing Cooperative will bring Guiyang the most advanced technology and investors. The two parties will strengthen cooperation and jointly contribute to the development of Guiyang's big data industries.
