In commenting on the move, Hu Jicheng, vice-director of the Guizhou agriculture commission, said, "The high mountains and humidity produce better quality tea, and we understand that Russians consume a large amount of Guizhou agricultural products such as vegetables."

At the same time, the head of a Russian company taking part in the negotiations added that the cordial trade negotiations are expected to an online site for further cooperation.

In expanding on this, Hu Zhijiang, head of Guizhou's Wuling Green Industrial Development Co, which exported 50 tons of tea to Britain under a deal with John Swire & Sons, said, "We're hoping to take advantage of this event to cooperate with more foreign companies and export Guizhou green tea to other countries."

Supporting Hu's remark was Yang Zaiying, CEO of the Taisheng Group who promises that they will use their marketing power to promote Guizhou tea in foreign countries.
