Guizhou provincial delegates to the annual Chinese Political People's Consultative Conference session, in Beijing, came up with dozens of suggestions on poverty alleviation, big data, eco-civilization, transportation, hydraulic engineering, grassroots cultural development, food safety, employment, and social security.
Some advisors suggested including the Wujiang waterway project in the 13th Five-Year Plan (2016-20), adding Guizhou to China's Belt and Road Initiative, approving an inland free trade zone in Guizhou and river ecology compensation and development in desert areas and other crucial projects related to the State's development strategies.
In the field of big data, they suggested building a national big data pilot zone for the development of the State's big data industry and to make Guizhou a demonstration site for agricultural big data. In addition, the province says it is setting up a special fund and bond issue for poverty relief.
