The women all originally came from the prefecture’s Shibing county before marrying and moving further afield. It is tradition for married women from the county to return annually to visit parents and gather for a feast.
Food was laid out on more than 1,000 tables in three lines on the day, stretching 167 meters. The feast included local specialties such as fried peanuts, bean curd and stewed chicken.
