The mileage of highways opened to traffic in Guizhou province will reach 10,196 kilometers by 2030, according to a plan for highway infrastructure released by the Guizhou Provincial Transportation Department on Oct 17.
The province now has 5,128 kilometers of highway opened to the traffic. The new expressway network will contain 4,127 kilometers of national highway, 3,641 kilometers of provincial highway and 2,428 kilometers of regional level roadways.
A static investment of 1.15 trillion yuan ($170.67 million) will be appropriated to build the highways.
