Guizhou government kitted out 11 e-commerce depots in Huilong town, Xingren county with printers, computers and bill counting machines, among other items, on Nov 17 to help them process orders.
The equipment is worth over 1.2 million yuan ($175,349) and will help the depots process incoming and outgoing shipments to consumers.
The depots are run by e-commerce platform Guinong360 and are aimed at helping agricultural manufacturers in rural areas of Guizhou sell their products throughout China. The platform was founded by the Supply and Marketing Cooperative of Guizhou province and put into operation in September, 2015.
The county currently has 103 e-commerce depots, which have received in excess of 11 million yuan to purchase operational equipment.
