HYDATA, a leading Chinese big data visual analysis and services group, will unveil its cutting edge lip-reading recognition technology at the 2017 Big Data Expo, held from May 25 to May 29 in Guiyang, the capital of Guizhou province.
The new technology utilizes special software capable of recognizing mouth shapes and speech patterns, and then outputting the most plausible language.
The accuracy rate of the new tech has reached 71 percent for Chinese and 80 percent for English.
