A bonded zone has been approved by the State Council in Guizhou province, said the provincial commerce bureau on July 10.
Located in the Xinpu New Area of Zunyi city, the zone will cover a total area of 1.11 square kilometers, becoming the biggest import and export base in northern Guizhou province.
The Zunyi Comprehensive Bonded Zone is expected to set a solid foundation for the opening-up of the economy in southwestern China, and to build a demonstration area for seeking cooperation with the ASEAN Free Trade Area.
China's bonded zones often enjoy the favorable taxes and foreign exchange polices, integrating the businesses of cross-border purchases, processing and logistics.
It will be the third bonded zone in the province, after the Guiyang Comprehensive Bonded Zone and Gui'an New Area Comprehensive Bonded Zone.
