Guizhou province reportedly accommodated 46.15 million tourists, earning 30.53 billion yuan ($4.63 billion), during China's National Day holiday week from Oct 1-8, according to the Guizhou Tourism Development Committee.
Through the province's "Mountainous Park" promotional campaign, Guizhou gained great achievements in improving the travelling experiences of holiday visitors, with the amount of tourists increasing 42.1 percent year-on-year. Incomes from tourism-related enterprises rose 43.52 percent compared to last year.
Statistics show that Guizhou's 95 major scenic spots received 18.93 million tourists, with 71 achieving a daily reception rate greater than 10,000 visitors over the holiday colloquially known as the "Golden Week".
Major tourism distribution centers and hotels in Guizhou's popular tourism cities remained high. Travel agencies in Guizhou received 141,000 domestic tourists and 14,400 overseas tourists, a year-on-year growth of 43.1 percent and 37.3 percent, respectively.
The Guizhou Holiday Travel Coordination Office reported no tourism accidents for the week.
