Helicopters will now be used for emergency rescue in Southwest China's Guizhou province. The province's first emergency air rescue helicopter landed at Jinyang Hospital in Guiyang on July 15.
The helicopter, made by an Italian company, is equipped with first aid kits, a respirator, syringe pump and oxygen cylinder so that doctors can carry out treatment in-flight.
The air rescue service will shorten the time required to transport patients and give them timely medical treatment.
The Shanghai-based Kingwing Aviation signed the agreement to provide air rescue service with Jinyang Hospital in Guiyang, along with eight other hospitals in Guizhou. The company hopes to build an air rescue network covering the whole province by the end of 2018.
