Preparations are speeding up for Guiyang's first Bonded and Cross-border E-commerce Goods Consumer Experience week which will kick off in Guiyang Free Trade Zone on Jan 10.
Officials from Guiyang, capital city of southwestern Guizhou province, said the event aims to provide superior imported goods at lower prices for locals -- and welcome in the tradition Lunar New Year.
According to local media reports, the consumption week plans to show a wide range of goods from international brands, including more than 10 categories of imported maternal and infant products, health care products, alcohol and fruit. The event runs from Jan 10-14 and the exhibition area will be open to the public from 10 am to 6 pm daily.
The event has two main sections: one for the display and sale of imported bonded goods and the other providing a cross-border e-commerce product consumer experience. The organizers said the cross-border e-commerce consumer experience activities allows visitors to place orders online, customize delivery methods offline and experience fast and convenient customs clearance services.
The exhibition area will showcase the development of Guizhou's foreign trade, import business and the development of its free trade zone platform through exhibition boards and exhibition materials. The organizers said that visitors will be able to get a further understanding the consumption process involved in cross-border e-commerce, while buying high-quality imported goods at preferential prices.
