Koen Sizoo, consul general of the Netherlands' embassy in Chongqing, recently visited Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, seeking industrial cooperation opportunities between the Netherlands and Guiyang.
Guiyang had previously introduced Asia's first advanced smart optoelectronic sorting and packaging line from the Netherlands to help the kiwi fruit industry in Xiuwen county realize smart sorting and storage.
In the future, the Netherlands and Guiyang hope to enhance communications in sister cities, as well as the modern agriculture, tourism, and big data industries.
During the visit, Zhang Mingquan, head of the Guiyang foreign affairs office, invited the government, companies, experts, and scholars of the Netherlands to attend the 2020 Eco Forum Global and Big Data Expo, both of which will be held in Guiyang.
