Guizhou, Guangdong and Guangxi provinces are joining together to hold a tourism production promotion event in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, on December 9 to deepen regional cooperation and build the Guiyang-Guangzhou high-speed railway economic belt, which will hugely benefit Anshun's tourism industry.
Gu Xinwei, head of the Anshun tourism bureau, visited Shenzhen, Guangdong province, before the event to meet with representatives of more than 30 travel agencies from Hong Kong, Guangdong and Guangxi that are invited to take the high-speed railway to Anshun's places of interest to conduct research.
"Anshun is not the initial or terminal station. In order to take better advantage of the high-speed railway, prior promotion and marketing are necessary to waste less time on the road and allow for more time to enjoy the breathtaking sceneries," said Gu.
Various events such as the Huangguoshu Waterfall Festival and Tunpu Culture Festival will be available for tourists and provide them better travel experiences.
On December 26, all scenic spots in Anshun will be free for tourists with valid Guiyang-Guangzhou high-speed railway tickets and ID cards. From December 26 to February 28, 2015, tourists with valid Guiyang-Guangzhou high-speed railway tickets and ID cards will enjoy a 50 percent discount while purchasing scenic spot tickets in Anshun. The discount will be extended to 70 percent from March 1 to April 30, 2015.
"There is a big gap between Anshun and Guangdong and Guangxi on economics that pushes us to enhance our service level via training to provide tourists with first-class service and world-class sceneries," said Gu.
