Chuandong Paleolithic Site, 32 kilometers north of urban Anshun, is an ancient relic dating back 16,000 years. Chuandong culture is considered as "a beacon of Asian civilization".
Chuandong refers to a natural karst cave in the middle of a dissolution basin stretching dozens of kilometers. The cave, 30 meters in length, 13 meters at its widest point and 9 meters in height, is habitable because of warm winters and cool summers inside.
Chuandong culture includes stone and bone implements and horn work created by the ancients in Chuandong.
