Anshun set as national urbanization pilot city

According to the official announcement of the National Development and Reform Commission on January 4, Anshun, Southwest China's Guizhou province, has been set as a national urbanization pilot city along with 62 other cities in China. It is the only prefecture-level city in Guizhou that is set as a national pilot city for urbanization.
As a national urbanization pilot city, Anshun will attach importance on systematic issues on investing and financing and also on reforms concerning rural-urban integration, administrative regionalization and multiple planning.
Meanwhile, efforts will be carried out to remove systematic obstacles that prevent development of urbanization to implement policies and regulations that benefit urbanization.
In accordance with the plan, the urbanization rate of permanent residence in 2017 will reach 51.5 percent, and the number will climb to 61 percent in 2020.
The mission of the Anshun urbanization pilot project will set up a diversified sustainable urbanization financing system and promote comprehensive systematic reform and innovation.
