Construction conditions

Anshun city, in Central Guizhou, is China's town of batik. It has more than 100 batik companies (workshops), employing over 6,000 people. The project will enhance Anshun's competitiveness of wax printing products by integrating resources to stimulate and strengthen the development of the batik industry.

Industrial conditions

Batik, with its long history, is a traditional handicraft which sold well in the 1980s across the country. It is a great creation combing ancient printing and dyeing technologies and folk arts and crafts. Its changeable texture, chromatic halos, rough and abstract patterns bring a feeling of returning to nature.

Market prospect prediction

The project will have a production capacity of 2,500 km of batik fabric, 350,000 pieces (suits) of national costume and 180 pieces of tourism crafts (including Tunpu sculptures and embroideries using cross-stitch) every year. The annual value of production will reach 0.3 billion yuan ($48.3 million), and taxation of 60 million yuan. Also, it will offer more than 500 jobs, and about 3,400 people of surplus rural labor force will be occupied in its preliminary working.

Anshun Batik National Industrial Park integrates production and processing of batik, product display, technical training, artistic performance and service center of trading market. It will introduce 100 production and processing companies and self-employment ventures as well.
