A newly-constructed subway in Mecca, in Saudi Arabia, will use escalators made by Xizi Otis from Hangzhou, according to escalator manufacturer.

This is the second oversea bid this company won this year. The first was in Mumbai, India earlier this year.

Xizi OTIS, one of the biggest elevator and escalator manufactures in China based in Hangzhou, employs more than 900 workers. It makes 5,000 sets of escalators, elevators, and moving walkways annually.

The debut of Xizi Otis in Saudi Arabia makes a milestone on the company’s oversea strategy. More orders are expected as the escalators made by Xizi Otis are more widely recognized for its high quality and comparative price.
