Spectators who came to watch the tides at Qiantang River run to avoid a huge wave hitting the dike, in Hangzhou city, East China's Zhejiang province, Aug 17, 2011. The soaring tide of Qiantang River is a marvelous spectacle rivaled only by the Amazon. Each year, thousands of people from both home and abroad flock to watch the magnificent tide on the 18 day of the 8th lunar month (also around the Mid-Autumn Day), which was Wednesday.
