The latest statistics show that Guangqi Honda sold a total of 362,000 vehicles in 2011, the Beijing Morning Post reported.
The slight sales increase was already a large achievement for the joint venture, whose production numbers last year were drastically affected by the Japanese earthquake in March and the ensuing auto parts shortage.
In the wake of the positive performance report, Guangqi Honda has announced that it will be adding two new hybrids to its new 2012 line-up, which will include a brand new Accord, City and Odyssey. The Accord was one of the joint venture's best selling models, with a total of 160,735 units sold.

Furthermore, the JV confirmed that it will begin manufacturing the Fit pure electric in the country by the end of the year. The Fit will be targeted at Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Shenzhen and other cities with relatively mature EV markets.
