A total of 19 people suspected of selling counterfeit liquor in the provinces of Hebei, Shandong and Henan have been arrested, and police found liquor worth 11 million yuan in their possession.
The Public Security Bureau of Hengshui, a city famous for its liquor, found that a man surnamed Zhang in Gucheng county bought fake liquor from cities in Henan and Shandong provinces, then resold the liquor in Hengshui in April.
The Hengshui authorities informed their counterparts in Henan and Shandong and cooperated on an investigation - and later planned a coordinated operation to capture the suspects on May 30.
They found more than 4,200 boxes of fake liquor, beer and beverage worth1.2 million yuan in the possession of six suspects in Hengshui and Hebei.
In Henan and Shandong, police arrested 13 suspects in the coordinated operation, and found more than 9,000 boxes, worth a total of 10 million yuan. |
