The Hebei Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference received 629 proposals in 2013 and made progress in dealing with all the proposals, Hebei.com reported on Jan 7.
Out of 2013's 629 proposals, 621 were assigned to related units and departments, accounting for 98.73 percent of the total, according to the Second Session of the 11th CPPCC Hebei Provincial Committee, which opened on Jan 7 in Shijiazhuang, capital of Hebei province. By the end of 2013, all 621 proposals in 2013 had been settled, including 188 collective proposals and 433 member proposals.
There were 211 proposals for economic development, 185 regarding the improvement of people's livelihood, 49 for cultural development, 74 concerning ecological environment progress, and 102 related to democracy and legislation.
Among the proposals, 477 proposals were completely or partly handled. A total of 106 are being dealt with or undergoing planning, and 38 can't be handled temporarily due to limitations in policies, systems and other conditions.
