Named after the year when the city of Shijiazhuang was founded, the characteristic street Shimen 1925 opened to the public on Aug 10. Located at the intersection of Jianhua Street and Donggang Road, the Shimen 1925 street illustrates commerce and history.

Characteristic streets can be seen in all big cities in China, like Wangfujing in Beijing, Nanjing Road in Shanghai and Chunxi Road in Chengdu. But Shijiazhuang had none until this year. .

Since the end of March, 13 characteristic streets started to be constructed. Up to now, 11 of them have already opened to the public. Shimen 1925 is going to be open this Thursday.
