A brand new duplicate (L) of a 1,058-year-old hollow iron lion is hung out from the mold in Cangzhou City, north China's Hebei Province, March 24, 2011. The new statue, weighing 120 tons, was unveiled Thursday and would be placed at the city's Shicheng Park. According to legend, people once suffered greatly from sea floods caused by an evil dragon. One day, a great lion appeared from the sky and roared at the dragon and defeated it. The grateful local people cast an iron statue of the lion to worship. The ancient iron lion, believed to be the largest of its kind in the world, has been repaired several times but it still has some broken areas and rifts.
