Longmen Grottoes get recognition for smart tourism

Longmen Grottoes scenic area in Luoyang, Henan province has been declared by the National Tourism Administration as a demonstration unit of “Internet Plus Tourism”.

The announcement was made on Oct 18, at the first International Smart Tourism Conference held in Hangzhou, East China.

It’s a significant affirmation of the administration given to a scenic area during the Internet age. Starting earlier this year, Longmen Grottoes have cooperated with Tencent company to develop itself into country’s first “Internet Plus Tourism” smart scenic area.

The project has won wide appreciation for its efficient implementation, smooth operation and good effect. It helps the scenic area achieve transformation in management, ticketing, visiting service and publicity. Hence, the advanced systems have been well received by tourists.
