The rural per capita living expenditure was 6,119 yuan, a real growth of 9.2 percent over the previous year. The Engel coefficient of rural households was 38.1 percent. The urban per capita disposable income was 21,653 yuan, a real growth of 8.2 percent over the previous year. The per capita living expenditure of urban residents was 16,916 yuan, a real growth of 7.6 percent over the previous year. The Engel coefficient of urban households was 33.1 percent.
By the end of 2013, the population participating into the enterprise insurance for the aged had reached 612,000, including 433,000 employees and 179,000 retired employees. The population participating into the medical insurance for urban workers had reached 782,000. The population participating into the unemployment insurance had reached 622,000, of which 14,600 persons had obtained unemployment benefits during the whole year.
The total minimum living allowance issued to urban residents throughout the whole year was 343 million yuan, covering 122,500 people.
