Central China "Ticai Cup" Rowing-Canoeing Tournament

The city of Nanyang, Henan province opened the "Ticai Cup" Rowing and Canoeing Tournament at its Water Sports Center, on Aug 31, with 279 rowers from 16 teams across the province vying for honor and glory.

The 6-day event has people from the cities of Nanyang, Zhengzhou, Pindingshan, Kaifeng, Luoyang, and elsewhere competing in the championship races, with preliminaries for the men's and women's 2000-m rowing/canoe/kayak single giving it their best on opening day.

Host of the tournament is the Provincial Sports Bureau with sponsorship from the Provincial Water Sports Administration Center and Nanyang Sports Bureau.
