Danjiang River Environmental Protection Media Alliance established

The Danjiang River Environmental Protection Media Alliance was officially established in Xichuan county, Nanyang, Henan province, on March 27, aiming to raise public awareness of water conservation and protect natural water resources.

Nearly one hundred reporters from media outlets across 18 cities in the province gathered at the Danjiang River Reservoir, origin of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project, to witness the establishment of the alliance.

The group signed the Danjiang River Environmental Protection Declaration to show their determination to protect and conserve water resources. They also promised to give greater media coverage on water protection to help raise public awareness.

The founding of the alliance coincided with the 29th China Water Week which took place from March 22 to 28.
