The Neixiang government has opened a photography exhibition at the Great Wall Museum of China in Beijing, on Sept 18, in a bid to promote the local tourism industry.
Some 100 photos were exhibited, showcasing the rich cultural heritage and beautiful scenery of the major tourist attractions in Neixiang county, Nanyang, Henan province; including the Local Magistrate Office Museum and Baotianman scenic spot.
Being an important part on the route of the south-to-north water diversion project, Neixiang has signed cooperation agreements with Yanqing district, Beijing, to promote bilateral development of the tourism sector through the sharing of resources.
In order to attain a 5A scenic spot rating, great efforts have been made to improve Baotianman scenic spot and Neixiang Local Magistrate Office Museum, plus a more proactive attitude has been taken when it comes to promoting the attractions.
Taking advantage of the huge number of visitors to the Great Wall, the Neixiang government chose the Great Wall Museum to host the exhibition.
In addition, tourism staff from Neixiang handed out more than 2000 copies of promotional materials to visitors at the Great Wall, making a vital contribution to publicity for the attractions.
The exhibition will last for three months, and is expected to give a further boost to Neixiang tourism.
