Nanyang nominated as National Civilized City

Nanyang has been selected as a National Civilized City among 141 candidates, ranking second in Henan province on the civility evaluation.

A total of 391 cities around the country appeared on the appraisal list by the Office of Cultural and Ethical Promotion of the CPC Central Committee. Four capital cities, 133 regular cities, and 24 districts of municipalities were nominated for recognition.

As Nanyang develops, it has made some great achievements, with the most significant one being the improvement in people's living environment. Traffic has become more orderly, creating a better urban environment for residents. Education has been improving, and a number of cultural facilities, such as a patriotism education center, a science and technology museum, and numerous youth centers, have sprung up around the city. The city is showing increasing care for the development of children.

Nanyang has also launched a series of important projects, including building a National Forest City and holding the 2019 World Federation of Rose Societies (WFRS) Regional Convention, which are expected to accelerate the process of urbanization and development.

The city plans to carry out more projects to turn Nanyang into a more livable city with rich cultural, economic, and scenic attractions to increase people's sense of wellbeing and fulfillment.
