Jiaotong Yueche, a taxi-hailing service platform of Nanyang city, went into operation on April 13.
It is the first of its kind that is qualified to handle online car-hailing order nationwide in Nanyang.
The first 100 Volkswagen Lavida sedans with dual-fuel engine made their debut on the launching ceremony.
They will serve the upcoming 2019 World Federation of Rose Societies (WFRS) Regional Convention to be held in the city and inject more vitality to the healthy development of the city's mobile car-hailing industry.
People can hail a taxi on the platform, the Jiaotong Yueche App, which is equipped with an alarm service. Meanwhile, security staff members working for the platform's backstage system offer 24-hour surveillance to ensure the safety of passengers.
Passengers can access the service through its official Wechat account or download the App.
According to local media, all the taxis have been identified by the Ministry of Transport in terms of technology access and the provincial and municipal transport authorities have approved its online service capability and issued license, respectively.
All the 100 drivers have obtained the license for offering taxi-hailing services after the training organized by the local authority and passing a raft of examinations.
