‘Empty Plate’ action continues in Nanyang

With greater social development, dining in a civilized way and ordering frugally are becoming more and more popular.

The “Empty Plate” action in Nanyang city, part of a nationwide campaign to eliminate food waste launched in early 2013, has been going on for several years.

Many restaurants in the urban area put signs in prominent places to encourage citizens to finish what they order or take their leftovers home. The citizens and visitors in Nanyang have developed the habit of saving and eating in a frugal manner.
