Nanyang water screen show delights viewers

The Henan section of a high-speed railway running from Zhengzhou, capital of Henan province, to Wanzhou in southwest China’s Chongqing, has been completed.

Riyue Lake is the main scenic spot in the front square of Nanyang East Railway Station. The fountain show at Riyue Lake attracts a large number of travelers and citizens as the fountain is designed to spray water up to 230 meters.

On Nov 23, technicians debugged the fountains and the water show attracted many people to watch the beautiful scene.

The fountains in the lake are able to present 'water screen' show when completing debugging.

Images projected onto the water curtains included blue and white fire and flowers.

It aims to enrich people’s cultural lives and build a new tourism landmark in the city.

The fountain on the lake is designed to spray water up to 230 meters.

Experts say a 'water screen' is a new form of film projection medium that uses a thin film of water for the projection of videos, lasers and other lighting effects. They say the images appear to float magically in front of the audience – enhanced by the surreal effect of water flowing in front of them.
