"Travelers plan to set up professional rescue teams in Pingdingshan, Henan province,” leaders from several outdoor clubs said after watching the rescue exercises during the first China Outside Cooperation Forum.

The rescue exercises were organized by several outdoor clubs from Xuchang, Pingdingshan and Zhengzhou, cities of Henan province.

Li Linpeng, a surgeon from Xuchang People’s Hospital, imitated the actual process of rescuing the injured and guided participants. According to Zheng Hao, person in charge of an outdoor club in Pingdingshan, the possibility of occurring outdoor accident increases with increasing number of travelers.

The current level of conducting outdoor recue in Pingdingshan still lies in the initial stage, only several senior outdoor travelers have adequate sense of how to do outdoor rescue. After the exercises, many people in charge of outdoor clubs decided to set up professional outdoor rescue teams to give quick responses to potential accidents.
