The Third Session of the 7th Pingdingshan Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), the city’s top political advisory committee, opened in Pingdingshan, Henan province on Jan 6.

Pei Jianzhong, the chairman of the committee, delivered a work report on behalf of the whole committee, and hoped the CPPCC members and citizens in Pingdingshan could work together to contribute to the economic and social development of Pingdingshan.

After a six-day discussion, each member of the committee airs his own views on economic growth and the people’s welfare, and several opinions and suggestions are received. The conference ended on Jan 12 with great success.
