A delegation led by Pingdingshan Vice-Mayor Li Jianwei visited Hong Kong April 26 to April 27 to promote the prefecture-level city in central Henan province to Hong Kong enterprises.
The delegation visited the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, the Federation of Hong Kong Industries, the Chinese Manufacturers Association of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association, Hong Kong Federation of Fujian Association, China Resources Group and other organizations.
Delegation members encouraged the Hong Kong-based groups to invest in Pingdingshan and consider new partnerships to take advantage of Pingdingshan’s industrial base, natural resources, convenient mainland location, rich culture and preferential business policies.
Yu Pengchun, vice-chairman of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, expressed his support for enhanced cooperation with Pingdingshan.
Lin Shuze, chairman of the Hong Kong Federation of Fujian Association, said several Fujian entrepreneurs have invested successfully in Pingdingshan in recent years. The city’s investment environment and services have improved in recent years, which will attract more investors, Lin said.
Feng Hongzhang, chairman of the Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association, which has thousands of members, also responded favorably to suggestions to invest in Pingdingshan.
