As the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese Communist Party approaches, Pingdingshan residents become more and more enthusiastic about “Red tourism.”
"Red tourism" is certainly a buzzword in China nowadays. By visiting "red scenic spots," historical places that in one way or another have relevance to China's Communist revolution, visitors can not only relax during the trip but also relive the resourceful "red history" of China. Yan’an in Shaanxi province, Jinggangshan Revolutionary Museum in Jiangxi province, and Shaoshan in Hunan province are included among the locations that are related to Chinese Communism. Take a travel agency on the Jianshe Road as an example; it received more than ten visitors per day inquiring information on “Red tourism” in April, and seven groups of visitors have experienced various lines of Red tourism.
