Ruzhou fire fighters went to Miaoxia town and gave training to more than 100 people fromvillage representatives, primary and middle school students headmasters, and enterprise representatives on July 13, 2012.

The instructors from the fire department talked about fire safety in rural areas and introduced basic fire-fighting techniques. Giving some real case examples, they also instructed how to check potential danger for fire, how to react in the face of an emerging fire, and how to prevent fires from electrical appliances and gas cookers. Their lectures were illuminating and instructive, and were well appreciated.

In order to secure fire safety and implement regulations, Miaoxia town has formulated a detailed plan includingpunishment and reward system. The town has required all attendants to improve their sense of fire safety. The village committee has been asked to set up a leading group on fire safety. Duty officers and managers will take responsibilities regarding fire safety. Responsibility systems for fire security, fire security checks, rectification of potential fire dangers and advice on fire safety should be established. Police stations, patrol and security guards should cooperate with one another to make sure that they can raise an alarm, fight the fire and minimize losses in case of fire. Villages, schools and enterprises and institutions in Miaoxia town showed their intentions to emphasize fire security.
