"100 Enterprises Helping 100 Countrysides" is one of the most important measures in Ruzhou as it promotes the development of new rural areas. In order to support new countryside construction, the United Front Work Department of the Ruzhou Municipal Party Committee is making great efforts to promote the project.

Since the very beginning of 2010, the United Front Work Department led a fact finding delegation to visit Zunyi in Guizhou Province as well as Anyang, Xinxiang and Nanyang in Henan Province. They held several meetings to discuss the arrangement of the project and mobilized private entrepreneurs to assist in the construction of new rural areas.

The United Front Work Department will supervise the overall processes involved with the project. They will publicly display the tasks and responsibilities of participant enterprises. In addition, relevant government functionaries will also be obligated to supervise and guide the project. The project will be organized so that it will be implemented as smoothly as possible

Many private entrepreneurs have been attracted to the project. For example, Henan Yishuntong Real Corporation has invested 450,000 yuan ($70,560) in rebuilding a village primary school and senior citizen’s home in Mangchuan, Ruzhou. Li Zhuanwei, the vice president of the Association of Industry and Commerce of Ruzhou, has donated 800,000 yuan to a six-kilometer concrete path. Liu Guang, the chairman of the board of directors of Henan Giant Dragon Biological Engineering Corporation, has invested 200,000 yuan in a tap water project in Shanghe, Ruzhou.

In recent years, 98 non-public enterprises have invested 116 million yuan in constructing new rural areas.
