According to the Ruzhou Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau, Ruzhou has become a “Demonstration City” for renewable energy construction in 2012. The title was conferred by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. It signifies that Ruzhou has won a national award in the field of renewable energy construction.

Since 2011, Ruzhou has worked to become a national demonstration city in renewable energy construction. It has accelerated application of renewable energy construction in the regional economy. The project has achieved remarkable success. Ruzhou has taken a leading role in renewable energy construction after assessment and review by experts from the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development.

There are 52 counties and cities across China which are conferred as “Demonstration Cities or Counties” of renewable energy construction in 2012. These cities and counties were selected to guide and promote the application of renewable energy construction across the country. At the same time, the central government will allocate a certain amount of money to assist the demonstration program.
