Two pieces of Ru porcelain artwork wowed the judges so much that they took top place at the recent 3rd China Ceramic Art and Craft Expo and Earth Awards, in July.
The two pieces --'Qiankunzun' and 'Tiandirenhe'—are the work of Li Xiaojuan and Wang Dexin, from the Ruzhou Yusong Ru Procelain Co, in Henan province, with the first claiming the gold prize and the second, the bronze.
The expo was held in the China International Exhibition Center, in Beijing, July 12 to 15 and was organized by the China National Light Industry Council and China Ceramics Industry Association, with a theme of 'Expanding markets, promoting brands, leading fashion, and guiding consumers'. It purpose is to provide a showcase for new concepts, technologies, and products in the ceramics industry and to promote Chinese ceramics abroad. Thousands of artworks were on display, representing the highest attainments of the ceramic art.
