A foundation-laying ceremony for Jiangnanchun High-Tech Ecological Park was held in Lingtou town, Ruzhou of Henan province on Nov 8.

Jiangnanchun High-Tech Biological Park is a multi-functional park featuring high-tech ecological agriculture, organic agriculture, tourism and health care. The park is composed of two parts, a west part and east part.

The west part covers half of the park with an area of 333.3 hectares. The construction of the part will last from 2014 to 2018 and has an investment of 600 million yuan ($98.5 million). The total investment of the park is 1 billion yuan.

The park will be divided into four major areas according to the project plan. A variety of infrastructures, including a comprehensive office building, a scientific research and development building, an agricultural tourism park and a sinology studies school, make it a combination of traditional culture, tourism, health care and modern agriculture.

It aims to promote advanced production and management models with scientific technology in the park as well as its surrounding area, and to improve local agricultural revenue.

Guo Jie, vice-mayor of Ruzhou, and other officials took part in the foundation-laying ceremony.
