Henan Hongbao Ru Porcelain Co is set to be the only Chinese porcelain exhibitor to participate in the 2013 Art China Show held in Abu Dhabi, following an invitation from the United Arab Emirates' Ministry of Culture.
The show - organized by the China Chamber of International Commerce, Mie Events Jlt and Shanghai Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center - will take place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center from Dec 16 to 18, with the aim of showcasing Chinese art and culture in the Persian Gulf.
Wang Zhenfang, the art director of Hongbao Ru Porcelain Co and an expert in Ru porcelain, said that this porcelain is a "treasure of Chinese culture" and part of China's intangible cultural heritage, and it is also plays an important role in the history of world porcelain.
A total of 22 Ru porcelain pieces produced by Hongbao are expected to be displayed during the event.
Abu Dhabi, capital of The United Arab Emirates (UAE), borders Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Oman, 70 percent of its imported goods were re-exported to Africa, Asia and other regions in Middle East. Chinese goods are popular in the UAE due to their reasonable prices and high quality.
