Officials from the cities of Pingdingshan and Ruzhou attended the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Ruzhou Urban-rural Informatization Industry Park on Nov 30, and Li Quansheng, secretary of Ruzhou municipal Party committee, lay the foundation stone, Xinhuanet.com reported.
The park, with an investment of 1.5 billion yuan ($246.15 million) by Bata Group, is expected to focus on information internet exchange and informatization technical services. It covers an area of 13.5 hectares in Rudong High-Tech Industrial Park, and its informatization service system will aim to cover three levels - municipal, township and villages.
The park will include a cloud center, one supporting area and three industrial belts.
The commerce industry belt, one of the park’s three industrial belts in addition to the internet industry belt and service industry belt, will focus on online retail of Ruzhou’s industrial and agricultural products, and it will enable Ruzhou residents to buy high-quality products at low prices.
The park is expected to be completed in July 2015, and its annual output value is estimated to reach five billion yuan, with annual tax revenue of 100 million yuan. It is also set to create jobs for over 10,000 people.
Bata Group is a large informatization group working for urban-rural information integration, and owns the only cloud computing lab in Zhengzhou.
