Li Quansheng, a member of the standing committee of the Pingdingshan Party committee and secretary of the Ruzhou Party committee, was on hand at the fourth China County Economic Development Forum on Feb 22.

At a special forum on how to be people-oriented with regards to modern urbanization, Li gave a presentation on Ruzhou’s exploration and experience in county economic development, focusing on agricultural industrialization, new methods of industrialization for traditional industries, the new service industry and the urban environment. He also put forward opinions and concepts on new type urbanization during the discussion.

The forum, an initiative of the Finance Channel of China Central Television, assembled officials from the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Development Research Center of the State Council -- together with secretaries and mayors of counties and county-level cities, well-known business people and experts -- to discuss the scientific outlook on China’s county-level economic development.
