Zhang Liuhua, director of the standing committee of Ruzhou municipal people’s congress,and Yang Huixing and Wang Canghai, deputy heads of the municipal people’s congress’s standing committee, together with some other officials, inspected the implementation of the Law of the People’s Republic of China on Quality and Safety of Agricultural Products on April 1.

The inspection team made an on-the-spot investigation at the Products Quality and Safety Supervision Station Zhifang town, Zhonglou Market and Laocheng Supermarket, and this was followed by a symposium, where reports on the law’s implementation were made by the Ruzhou agriculture bureau, Ruzhou municipal administration for industry and commerce and the city’s Market Development Center.

Zhang said that he hoped that the corresponding authorities could work out the problems in the law’s implementation and strengthen its publicity. Meanwhile, he urged an improvement in the team’s construction on agricultural product quality and safety supervision, which covered everything from the products’ origins to the consumers.
