Ruzhou hosted a painting and calligraphy exhibition to celebrate the 65 anniversary of China's political advisory body, at the exhibition hall in the city's central television station, Henan province, from Sept 19 to 23.

There are portraits, and scroll paintings of natural scenery, flowers, and animals, applying a wide range of drawing techniques; and a group of calligraphic works in different writing styles, making up altogether some 160 works of art at the exhibition held by the Political Consultative Conference in the city.

All the works express good will for the country, a typical body of art works of contemporary China.
